Sanchez Peak
Sanchez peak is located at Sitio Balakayo, Barangay Olympog. One of the tourist destination for mountaineer and outdoor enthusiast in Gensan. It is more or less 800pa. 1hr walk for a seasoned climber, 2hrs for beginners. Sanchez peak is owned by Mr. and Mrs. Jun Sanchez. Sanchez peak is opened to the public last 2010 as a tourist destination in Gensan.
Queen Tuna Park
The Queen Tuna Park in General Santos is regularly visited by locals and domestic tourists because of the large waves coming from the Celebes Sea and the nice breeze and cool air which can be experienced in the place. It is located in Barangay Dadiangas South, nearby the Old Mosque and Public Market. The authorities invested a lot to beautify this place so it can add to the tourist attractions in the city.
Kalaja Valley
Kalaja is located at Barangay Conel, which is located 15km at the North East side of General Santos City, at Barangay Conel, Kalaja is then surrounded with towers of karsts formation made millions of years ago. It produced waterfalls & caves. What is kalaha? Well some other Bisaya would say kalaha, which is named a frying pot.
Plaza Heneral Santos
One of the best places to spend an early morning or afternoon stroll in General Santos is at Plaza Heneral Santos (Filipino) or General Santos Plaza (English). It is strategically located along Pendatun Avenue, near the City Hall and other different establishments including Schools, Church, and Hotels.
Developed by Dellosa Design Builders, Inc, Plaza Heneral Santos is placed on a 4.8-hectare land owned by the government. People from different walks of life can enjoy the park day and night – as long as they follow the basic park rules such as no littering, no vandalizing, etc.
T’boli Settlement
The Tboli people are one of the indigenous peoples of South Cotabato in Southern Mindanao. The body of ethnographic and linguistic literature on Mindanao, they are variously known as Tboli, T’boli, Tböli, Tagabili, Tagabilil, Tagabulul and Tau Bilil. They term themselves Tboli. Their whereabouts and identity are somewhat imprecise in the literature.
